Musical Theatre Group
The Musical Theatre Group (MTG) is our elite performance and training programme for students with a strong commitment to musical theatre. MTG offers a high-level, specialist environment where dedicated performers develop their skills through intensive rehearsal, performance opportunities, and professional standard productions.
MTG is about far more than learning routines or putting on shows. It is a place where students build confidence, discipline and resilience, learn to work as part of a committed ensemble, and experience the creative and personal growth that comes from performing at a high level.
Many of our students form lasting friendships and gain skills that benefit them well beyond the stage.
WHAT DOES MTG INVOLVE?
- Weekly specialist rehearsals during term time
- Training focused on singing, acting and movement for musical theatre
- Preparation for and performance in two full-scale productions each year

MTG Training Programme
A group designed to give students the opportunity to train to become a full member of the Musical Theatre Group (MTG).
WHAT DOES MTG Training INVOLVE?
Learning and perfecting numbers from the current MTG repertoire, covering vocals, choreography and acting through song. This focused training gives students a far deeper insight into the level of commitment and work involved.
Students will develop the skills required to sing and dance simultaneously, improve their ability to learn choreography at speed, work on more advanced vocal and dance techniques and gain a stronger understanding of musical theatre as a whole.
Note: A weekly private singing lesson, to support the vocal techniques required for MTG repertoire.
